Instructions to Install Adobe Acrobat Pro 

 

 

***Adobe Acrobat requests need to be made by department heads via Freshservice.

  • You will receive a welcome email from Adobe: 
    • Welcome! Here’s how to get started with Acrobat Pro

  • You will be directed to a download page in adobe. Select Acrobat Pro Installer for Windows (64 Bit)
    • Note: Please close Outlook, word, excel before installing Adobe

  • You will download a zip file. You will find the adobe folder either in your downloads folder or by selecting it in your browser downloads.

  • Open the folder and navigate to the Setup.exe file towards the bottom of the files.

  • This will initiate installation onto your computer. 
    • Select Yes to allow this App to make changes on your devices. 

You will see your computer go through a number of steps during the installation process, which can take up to approximately 5 minutes. During the process it will ask if you wish to install Adobe Genuine Services and make Adobe Acrobat your default PDF, keep both selected and select Install.

  • When installation is finished you will see an installation finished and it will ask to open adobe acrobat. At this point you will be asked to sign into your account.

  • You will sign into Adobe Acrobat Pro using your work email and password. You will need to use your 2 factor authentication method to initially login. (Phone app or Yubikey)
    • Example: helpdesk@co.cook.mn.us
    • Password: computer login
    • Code: either Microsoft authenticator app or Yubikey or whichever method you have in place.

 

  • You can also select to stay signed in to reduce logins. Select “Don’t show this again” and click Yes.
